Cardiac Screening Event Hosted by iGEM Design Team in Partnership with the Student Union Board
📍 Location: Innovation Lab Forum
🗓 Date: Friday, May 2
⏰ Time: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
🩺 What’s Happening?
The iGEM student design team and the Student Union Board are teaming up to host an all-day Cardiac Screening Event for Missouri S&T students. The first 1,000 participants will receive a free electrocardiogram (ECG)—a quick, painless test that detects potentially dangerous cardiac arrhythmias.
Sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in people ages 19–24. Early detection saves lives.
All ECGs will be professionally read by board-certified cardiologists through the Ruth Lee Miller Heart Research Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing cardiovascular research.
🤝 Volunteer with Us!
We need your help to make this event a success! Whether you’re an individual or an RSO leader coordinating your group, we’d love to have you volunteer.
