Light & Sound
Responsible for providing technical services for SUB events. This committee sets up and maintains all of SUB's sound and lighting equipment. The equipment and technicians are also rented out to campus groups for a nominal charge.
Introduction
The Student Union Board’s Light and Sound Committee has a wide variety of services that are intended for use primarily by the Student Union Board. As a convenience, these services are also extended to organizations, students, faculty and the general public.
Fees
The Light and Sound Committee charges a rental fee and a technician fee for its services. Every piece of equipment and package has a flat fee that covers rental for one day. The technician fee is $10.00 and is charged per hour per technician.
At least one Light and Sound technician must be present with the equipment at all times except in the case of à la Carte items. In this case, a contract must be signed by both parties before the equipment is handed over.
For any event requiring transportation, it must be provided by the customer or a transportation fee will be charged.
The number of technicians required to set-up or take down each event is at the Light and Sound Director's sole discretion. The crew for small events will normally consist of two people for set up and take down. Larger events will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Payment
On campus accounts will be billed automatically after the event.
When paying with check, payment must be received no less than one week after receiving an invoice. If payment is not received, a finance charge proportional to the late time will be charged and all further services will be suspended until full payment is met.

Security and Damages:
The organization or department renting the equipment (Renter) shall pay for any damages to equipment caused by negligence of the Renter. Reasons may include, but are not limited to abuse by performers or audience members, damage by inclement weather, vandalism, theft, etc. It is recommended, but not required that the Renter hire or designate at least one person to provide security for the equipment. If the Director or any technician determines that the safety of the equipment or personnel is in jeopardy for any reason, use of the equipment may be held and any payment will not be refunded.

with lots of sound effects or any application requiring lots of bass. It contains everything in the standard sound package in addition to the two high power dual 18” subwoofers. These speakers can vastly extend the usable range of an audio system,
